We're gearing up for extreme temperatures and invite you to get involved. When temperatures rise above 95 degrees, ARCHES extends its day center hours, allowing people to stay inside longer. We invite you to share in this life-saving endeavor by volunteering a couple of hours of your time.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO:
- MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS BY -
- Monitoring the day room space to help ensure the safety and security of those utilizing the space
- Providing navigation assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness
- Distributing supplies aimed at keeping people safe during extreme temperatures. These supplies may include water, Gatorade or similar beverages, sunscreen, and cooling towels
- Ensure a clean environment for guests by conducting routine cleaning such as sweeping, moping, wiping down touch surfaces, and taking out trash.
