Warming shelter volunteers will work alongside trained shelter staff to provide a safe and welcoming environment for shelter guests. During your shift, you'll be able to:
- Assist guests with checking in and out of the warming shelter.
- Serve snacks and coffee.
- Assist guests with resource and service navigation.
- Help provide a clean and sanitary environment by conducting routine cleaning throughout the night.
*Due to a limited capacity of 30 occupants inside, heated tents may be used outside for individuals to warm up and escape the elements. When in use, some volunteers will be needed to work inside of these tents. While heated, temperatures might still be colder than inside building temperatures and volunteers are encouraged to dress for both inside and outside work.
